hello beauties~ it has been a long time since my last blog update! anyway, i am here to introduce a new product release from one of my favorite korean brand: THE SKIN SHOP. even i, myself, was amazed by their new concept! picture this you gals~ a portable vibrating make up tool that allows you to create a perfect canvass on your face through the use of soft, delicate vibrations while allowing you to build up your foundation or bb cream! amazing isn’t it? not only as a make up tool, it acts as massage tool to pamper your face by making it smooth from inside-out!

another good thing about this new and savvy product is that it is portable! meaning, you can bring it wherever you may go and use it to your heart’s content! considering its size, it allows one to apply makeup easily, without any hassle or difficulties since it has a soft, elastic and take note you guys!: REFILLABLE puffs! why whats wrong??? 

Hello beauties and new followers~ this is the second installment of the products i’ve received from THE SKIN SHOP ^^

For starters, the following products were sent as a prize for winning their recent event on Facebook. I am in no way paid/influenced by the company to do this, all opinions/thoughts on their products are my own ^^

Initial thoughts:

* Gel liner- Available color is in black. Upon application, I noticed that I had to put 2-3 swatches of the liner to make it more visible (it is build-able though meaning the more product you apply, the more vibrant the color becomes ^^) What I don’t like about it is that at times, it leaves spaces when thinly applied so I’d have to redo it once in a while to make sure its perfectly done.

(Did you see some spaces that weren’t covered? its in my water line area) but once the second coating/swatch was applied… voila!

Overall, I find it easy to use and yes, its waterproof! I tried washing my eyes after applying it and yet it still wont come off ^^ Here is a pic of how eyes looked like after applying it together with the mascara, I love its lengthening effect! 

Initial thoughts:

* Mascara- It comes in very sleek and handy packaging ^^ Applicator has a unique wand but as for the curling effect, I only rate it in an average level. On the other hand, the volume it gives though is rather fascinating! 2-3 coats is enough to get that gorgeous lashes girlies!!! Here are the pics…

Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the mascara… although the curling factor is in its minimal level I am opting for the voluminous look though so yeah, it’s not that a big deal for me. I still love it and would recommend it to you all my dear readers ^^

Hello beauties~ sorry again for this late review on the skin care line that I have been trying for a few days already… 

This is another product from one of my favorite Korean brand of cosmetics : THE SKIN SHOP ^^

The Skin Shop’s recovery line has been raved by my co bloggers here on Tumblr and on Facebook and so I was really tempted to personally purchase the entire lline! Sad to say, the Premium secret BB cream was out of stock at the time I placed my order and so I only ordered the cream and mucin pack for myself TT. At that time, the set costs 37 USD but now, it’s roughly 57 USD already. Pretty pricey eh? But believe me, once you’ve tried it you’ll love it! Its worth every penny anyway…

Now talking abut my experience using the set for almost a week already, I can say that I have been pleased with how it pampers and heals my skin. Recently, I’ve had terrible break outs and so I started using the Recovery line to fight off the ugly red spots popping on my face! Here are the pics… I’m sorry that I can’t upload my entire face, really looks awful (post pregnancy insecurities people, hope y’all understand) Rest assured, I am the one modelling the pics and those aren;t edited or anything! ^^

I love how my skin feels afterwards I use the mucin pack! I just squeeze out a generous amount frpm the tube and apply it to my face in a gentle rotating motion (sometimes, I lightly massage my face to make sure it is well absorbed by my skin ^^) I wait about 10-15 minutes and wash it off with running water and voila~ a clean and refreshed look minus the heaviness/oily feeling I usually experience with other mask packs ^^ It somehow cleans out my pores inside out to treat impurities thereby reducing redness and the occurrence of more pimples! Yaaaayyy~ 

When done with the pack, I immediately apply the recovery cream by lightly massaging it on my face concentrating on the areas where I have break outs (forehead, a red spot below my left eyebrow, some on my cheeks and lower jawline but minor only) In an instant, I felt my skin somehow felt smooth and my face is soft to touch ^^ I looveee it!!!

I love how both smelled when applied on my face… the consistency is not too thick which I also happen to love because it means you’ll only need a little time to apply it for it to be absorbed by your facial muscles plus, it doesn’t give me a heavy/moist feeling upon using it ^^ since I have an oily skin type. Furthermore, I have not experienced any irritations or any untoward side effects while using the two products interchangeably.

I’ll be updating you guys 2-3 weeks from now (with pictures as proof) to really compare the difference if indeed it helped me clear out my stubborn pimples ^^

They always say your hair is your crowning glory… I’ll have to agree on that. It is the one thing we girls/ladies should be aware of and must take into consideration simply because our hair separates us from others it brings about a unique identity to us.

Ever wanted a sleek, straight hair? Of course! who wouldn’t want it? I sure for one, am dreaming of it^^ That is why when Korea Cosmetics sent a sponsorship for this particular item, I immediately replied and agreed to do a review for the said product. So now, let’s get started shall we?…

It comes in lilac box with a pretty girl as its model^^, and the actual straightening product comes in a 120g/4.23oz sealed tube form. Directions, content of the kit, key ingredients, special features, and CAUTION (regarding product usage) are also indicated which is a good thing so that first users will be guided on how to properly apply and use the content itself.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION/ FEATURES

> No neutralizer needed

since this product des not need neutralizer, the straightening is short and simple

> Suitable for healthy, resistant and thick hair

the advanced formula enriched with henna extracts leaves your hair healthy and elastic after straightening

PRODUCT USAGE

Before applying the treatment to my hair, I washed it first and lightly shampooed and conditioned it afterwards. I towel dried my hair and combed it carefully… here are the pics.

As you can see, my hair has the tendency to fly away and split ends are also noticeable as well…

Moving on, when my hair had finally dry down, I carefully applied the straightening cream. According to the manual, for damaged hair, waiting time is 10-20 minutes. For severely damaged hair 5-10 minutes. As for me, I waited for 15 minutes since I fall into the damaged hair category.

PRODUCT PERFORMANCE

After patiently waiting for 15 minutes, the hair treatment is now complete. I immediately washed my hair with the 30g conditioner that the kit included.

So far, my hair was soft and the conditioner smelled nice. I did not have a hard time combing my hair also.

But sad to say when my hair was dried already, I noticed that the ends became more stiff and brittle. Here are the pics…

Yes, I admit some parts of my hair were straightened out but it really looks stiff and almost not natural T.T I waited for another two days without shampooing my hair but the result yields negative. I think my hair just didn’t react well with the treatment cream.

SUMMARY

 Overall, I could not say if I will or will not recommend this brand to others out there since everyone also has different reactions right? What might be bad for me, will work out on you and vice versa. What I do know, is that upon initial usag of the product, I did not experience any irritation in my scalp area. The result was just negative so I am not pleased with its claim of perfectly straightening out a stubborn, damaged hair.

These was sent to by Korea Cosmetics for review purposes, my thoughts and reactions are my own and not being influenced by he company.

Btw, if you’ll get the chance to try these one out, please do let me know is that i may be able to compare the difference with your methid of using it…

P.S. Any advice owhat to do now with my severely damaged hair??? Is rebonding an option? What do I do afterwards? Dont want to get out with my hair looking like this… HELP!!! 

Hello beauties~ been a while since my last post… was very busy lately,my apologies! (mommy duties since I gave birth recently via CS). As you all know, I am an avid supporter of The Skin Shop, a Korean based cosmetic company which offers highly natural and effective cosmetics from make-up to skin care line. Recently, together with my other supporters  and co bloggers, we were given the chance to try out their newly released products! How cool is that?!

This post is somewhat a brief review on my frst usage of the following products they have sent over for me to try out ^^ detailed reviews will follow…

My initial thoughts upon first usage:

I paired the sun cream along with my TSS Iris Color Control BB cream, and it did wonders on my face all through out the day! The sun cream itself, is light and easy to spread unto the areas of my face. I also like the way it smells not your typical sun screen which smells kinda plastic or something, almost similar to a BB cream scent! I remember, I had to walk on broad daylight to do some errands and I felt that even though the heat of the sun was there, my face was not irritated (nor did i felt that my face was absorbing the heat from the harmful rays) Together with the Iris CC BB cream, the sebum formation on my face was controlled! Amazing~ I am definitely recommending this sun cream to everyone out there! A must try indeed ^^

After I applied the IRIS power whitening sun cream and IRIS CC BB cream on my face, to set it I used TSS Magic Science mineral pact. I love the puff that it comes with! When I use it to pat the content onto my face, it somewhat glides and feels very soft! Its a plus point for me, since right now my skin is really in a bad shape (hypersensitivity issues again!!! grrrr) the coverage is light to a medium finish. What I do notice is that it is a one shade lighter than my skin tone (maybe i could have gone with the natural beige shade) but other that that, its fine with me. It doesnt feel heavy or cakey when you apply it so its up to if you want to use the puff that it comes with or a brush in order for you to build the coverage that you would want the most for your face to achieve.
